SunVinyl Single Hung & Double Hung Tilt-Sash Operation
SunVinyl Single Hung and Double Hung windows feature sashes that slide open vertically for ventilation. Both sashes also tilt inward for easy cleaning of exterior glass surfaces on double hungs. Only the bottom sash opens and tilts-in on single hungs. Tilt-in operation is by finger release tilt latches for bottom sashes.
To Tilt the Sash |

Step 1) Unlock the window and raise the sash 4" to 6". Release the tilt latches with your fingers. |

Step 2) While holding the tilt latches in the release position, pull the top of the sash toward you. |
To Remove the Sash |

Step 3) Tilt the sash until it is about 90°. Raise the bottom of the sash straight up to disenge it from the balance shoes. Raise one side of the sash until it is clear of the balance system. Step 4) Remove the sash. |
