Sun makes two Fixed Lite windows to go with our clad wood products. The two styles have different profiles to coordinate with other products for interior trim applications and visual sight lines.
Our Sash Set Fixed Lite has the same frame and sash as our Casement window but it does not open for ventilation. The daylight opening and sight lines match the Casement.
Our Direct Set Fixed Lite uses only a frame in which the insulated glass is set. This frame gives it a narrow profile to maximize the view opening of the window.
Sash Set vs Direct Set
Here is a comparison of our Sash Set Fixed Lite, left side, to our Direct Set Fixed Lite, right side. The wider frame and sash of the Sash Set match our Casement family of products. The narrow frame of our Direct Set is designed to maximize the viewing area of the window.
Jamb Depth
The standard jamb depth is 4-9/16”. A jamb depth of 6-9/16" is achieved with 2" extensions. Additional jamb options are available. See Jamb Options for more information.
