True French Door
Our In-Swing and Out-Swing Doors are also available in a traditional styled True French Door configuration. This is a two-panel door with one panel being the main operating panel while the second panel can be unlatched and opened to expand access through the door opening.

True French Patio Doors have the same features and options as our other Swing doors. The main difference is that the True French Configuration allows both panels to be opened. One panel will be the main operating panel that opens just like any typical swing door. The second panel, the passive panel, has integrated head and foot shoot bolts that hold it in place. These can be released by the handle set on the passive panel, allowing the second panel to open fully, and giving you a wide opening for expanded access.
Jamb Depth
The standard jamb depth is 4-9/16”. A jamb depth of 6-9/16" is also available. See Jamb Options for more information.

Sun Clad Wood Doors, including swing doors, sliding doors, and bi-fold doors, all use a common door panel. These panels are typically full-view glass panels. However, there are several options for configuring the panels to reflect unique styles and designs.
Panel Options
All of our extruded aluminum-clad windows and doors are available in a wide range of exterior powder-coated finish colors to coordinate with the design of your project. Click on the link below to see our color choices.
Exterior Color Options
An extruded aluminum exterior casing and trim system is available on our clad windows and doors to enhance the visual appeal of the windows and doors. Available in a variety of trim and casing profiles, these extrusions add a dimensional accent to the product and the home or building.
Exterior Trim OptionsTrue French Doors feature two panels, both hinged left and right. The choice in the configuration is selecting which panel will be the main active panel and which one is the secondary passive panel.

Our clad-wood products feature clear pine interiors that are ideally suited for staining or painting. Choose to have your windows and doors delivered without any interior finish so that you can stain or paint them yourself or have them primed or painted at the factory with your choice of one of our standard interior finish colors.
Swing door handle sets provide the opening and locking functions of the door. They are available in three styles and several finishes.
Hardware Options
In-Swing Jambs are 4-9/16” as standard. A 6-9/16” Jamb is also available.

Sun offers a few options for your door applications. We have a standard sill and an ADA sill for most door products. Additional options vary based on the door product.

4-11/16” Profile Width Stiles and Rails
All of our standard door panels feature equal stile and rail face dimensions. Panel rails and stiles are 4-11/16”.
A tall bottom rail option is available for applications requiring a tall profile.
Optional solid insert panels are available in many configurations to achieve almost any balance between glass view and non-viewing areas.
