Double Hung Windows

A double hung is the traditional sash-over-sash, raise, and lower window. The two sashes overlap near the middle of the window to form a check rail where they lock together. One or two locks, depending on the size of the window, secure the sashes. A pair of finger-release tilt latches engage the side sash tracks and can be disengaged to tilt the sash inward for cleaning or other access. Locking-when-tilted balance shoes help hold the sash in place when tilted.

Sun offers Double Hung windows in two of our product lines, USA / Clad Wood and Series 57 All-Vinyl.
