The all-stainless steel tandem roller with ball bearings provides smooth sliding of the operating panel on the guide track. The rollers are adjustable to fine-tune the door panel alignment and operation.
Roller Adjustment Instructions
Sliding doors have a fiberglass pultruded sill with a stainless steel guide track that engages the tandem rollers in the operating panel.
Our Dual-Latch Handle Sets are available in two styles: Contemporary and Signature.
On a 2-panel door, the Interior Handle has a latch lever that manually secures the door panel in its closed position. The Exterior Handle is available in two versions. One is a plain handle without a lock. This version cannot be unlocked or unlatched from the exterior. The other version has a keyed cylinder lock that provides access from the outside using a key.
On a 4-panel door, the secondary operating panel (or passive panel) also has a handle set. This handle set has no latching or locking function. Latching is provided by the hardware on the active panel. Therefore, the interior and exterior handles on the secondary panel only provide a handhold and are known as passive handles. This is also sometimes referred to as a dummy handle.
The Foot Bolt is an optional, secondary lock that installs at the bottom of the operating panel on the interior side. It adds manual locking of the panel in the closed position.
Foot Bolt Instructions
On our Quad Slider doors, we include Shootbolts at the head and foot to secure the passive panel. The main operating panel opens and closes as usual. The passive panel can be opened by releasing the shoot bolt levers.
